Our Taste Test Experience
Preparation: Preparing the Mountain House Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken was straightforward. We boiled 11 ounces of water, poured it into the meal pouch, and let it sit for about 10 minutes to rehydrate. The convenience of these meals makes them ideal for outdoor adventures.
First Impressions: The kids enjoyed the smell of cheese and of the alfredo sauce was inviting as we opened the pouch. The meal looked appetizing, with visible chunks of chicken and well-coated pasta.
My Review: Having tried numerous freeze-dried meals over the years, I was impressed by the quality and taste of this meal. The taste took me by surprise. I was not expecting the taste to be as good as it was. I also didn’t expect my kids to enjoy any of these. The only cons I consider is the ingredients. We try to eat as clean as possible and some of these meals can sure pack in some stuff I dont feel is needed. In reality to me taste is not even one of the deciding factors on the meals I pack. Once we have completed the taste test of the remaining meals I will put together a ranking system of them all.
